The Summer of Celebrity Memoirs

One of my favorite “guilty pleasures” in reading is celebrity memoirs. It seems like just about everyone is writing one, whether they have something interesting to say or not. Nonetheless, I’m still going to read them!

I’ve actually got a few vacations coming up this summer and I’m really excited to crack open these great beach reads. I’ll literally be on the beach later this week and I’ve got some flights and train rides throughout the summer so the celebrity memoirs seem to be a great choice to fill my time.

Here’s what I’m hoping to read over the next few months…

balancing it all-cameron bureBalancing It All by Candace Cameron Bure

jason priestley memoirJason Priestley: A Memoir by Jason Priestly

As I look at this list, it’s pretty easy to tell that I’ll be revisiting some of my favorite actors from my childhood. Elementary school was spent watching Candace Cameron Bure and Bob Saget on Full House; middle school was spent with Melissa Joan Hart as she portrayed Clarissa and Sabrina and I loved watching Beverly Hills 90210 with Jennie Garth and Jason Priestley.
